You too can look this dark and sinister on a bright and beautiful day!
What I used: A mineral based foundation in powder format (which is messy and I HATE IT but it has nice coverage and doesn’t ruin my skin). This specific one is L’Oreal’s True Match Naturale gentle mineral make-up. Has some SPF in there too. The blush is a MAC limited color called “Giggle” but if I had to redo this face, I would use their “Coygirl” blush instead as it has less pink and more purple tone. This would compliment the eyeshadows better. The eyeshadows are all in the same palette: Maybelline Eyestudio Limited Edition in “Autumn Dream”. I used the cream color from the crease to browline, the navy color for the lid and the pinkish-purple for the crease. As a base for the eyeshadow, I used one of MAC’s paints in “Untitled”. I applied it with my finger to blend it evenly and it holds the shadows in place like a primer would, but evens out the color of the eyelid skin to make a nice, clean canvas. I used a slim angled brush and MAC’s “Print” shadow to fill in my eyebrows. Black mascara on top and bottom lashes (Covergirl Lash Blast Length). Black eyeliner (MAC) only on the bottom of the eye. And the lip color is “Chic” by Sephora.
Now I’m going to go marry a King and torment his daughter into my own personal slave out of sheer envy. Or go to class, whatever.
A few days ago I had to grab make-up in a flash because I was lazy and didn’t wear any to work, but then was suddenly invited to an event that night. I left work at 9:30, the event was at 10 – you see how there was no time to rush home, get ready and then leave? I rushed into Walgreens where I spent $44 on the basic essentials for my face. Most of it was cheap Wet N’ Wild crap, a little bit of Maybelline, and L’Oreal’s mineral make-up foundation. You would be shocked what ended up being the best item of the purchase.
First off, someone please suggest to me a mineral make-up that isn’t powder. Seriously. It gets all over my (obviously) black clothes and I honestly feel like I’m inhaling most of it. Regardless of the great coverage the L’Oreal True Match Naturale mineral make-up has, it gets everywhere and essentially pisses me off most the time. If you have time and patience, and are constantly putting make-up on over a sink, you might really like it! As for me, I need something less messy. Seriously.
Moving on, the biggest unexpected hit was the Wet N’ Wild Fergie edition lipstick. It stayed on all night, and I was eating a lot of garlic knots. It will get all over your chin when your lips folds down as you eat though, so be aware of that. The color “Fuschianista” has a translucent blue shimmer over it, and it’s super hot with black, smoky eyes and minimal blush.
I know, goths are “supposed” to love black and rich purples, but this hot pink made such a statement with my all black attire. Think Siouxsie:
